Temporal Bit Budgeting
At 12 Mbps, a 24fps cinematic export gets 500 kilobits per frame. A 60fps gaming video gets only 200 kilobits per frame. If your footage has fast camera movement, increase your bitrate to at least 15 Mbps to prevent compression banding.
Windows GiB vs Hard Drive GB
Windows File Explorer reports file size in binary Gibibytes (1024 base), while hard drives and video players measure in decimal Gigabytes (1000 base). CalcBitrate shows both values side by side.
