Higher Headroom Than Twitch
Kick utilizes modern ingest clusters powered by AWS IVS, allowing slightly higher continuous bitrates (~8,500 kbps) compared to Twitch's strict 8,000 kbps limit.
Constant Bitrate (CBR)
Always set OBS Output Rate Control to CBR with a 2-second keyframe interval. Using VBR will cause buffer underruns on Kick's RTMP ingest servers.
